About First Friday Golf
Mainly Manchester based, the First Friday team have been going on golfing holidays since 2005.
With an official trophy given each year to the Tour Champion, plus the bestowed honour of organising the event the following year, it is a popular society, one which is difficult to join. The tour size stays mainly around 12 people and has done since the start and the regular mainstays of tour are North Berwick and St Andrews. Scotland is always a popular destination.
More recently, the tour has travelled for its first time to the shores of Portugal and is starting to branch out more visiting esteemed courses such as Kingsbarns, Archerfield and St. Andrews.
Founding Fathers Committee
The power base is now agreed. While in Telford it was agreed how future tours will be organised and how the final list of tour attendees will be chosen.
Matt Morgan
Founding Father
The original founding father who, through whatever democratic principles he introduces, always ensures that he has the final say.
John Walsh
Founding Father
One of the original few founders from the beginning with a strong golfing mind (until he thinks he might win!).
Ben Morgan
Founding Father
Another who has been there from the start (well almost) and always a strong voice on the committee when it comes to handicap selection and "gimme" rules.
Chris Matthews
Founding Father
Another one of the core committee who is an ever-present. Always seems to make a challenge for the title but often fails due to equipment failure or calamitous moments risking injury.
