I reckon Ireland will suit his game due to him doing so well in Carnoustie. Although slightly unknown in terms of form but a handicap of 14 certainly helps.

If it wasn't for his putting he might be at the top but always puts in a good round or two. And being in charge of the pencil also works in his favour.

Could this be his year? If he can bring his A game he has a great chance.

I guess I have to put myself in there somewhere. Not a great showing last year but you never know. Have not booked Saturday flights yet but may still do.

It depends on the handicap but always in with a shout as has the game in his locker. He just needs to find it but missed a year and is also part of the gang who have had new additions to the family.

Moved down the rankings this year as with a new addition to the family he has not really had a chance to practice, apart from reading Bob Rotella books and chipping in his garden.

Missed a year so not sure of form and already seen a request to push the handicap out so must not have much time to play with the new addition to the family.

Not sure 24 is really the right handicap but you never know with Pops. On his day can score big numbers with all those shots and won last winter.
